Pacific NW: Columbia and Snake River Cruising
Many cruisers traveling north or south along the U.S. Pacific coastline breeze right past the Columbia Bar, never realizing that there is over 800 NM of uncrowded, beautiful, challenging, and fascinating inland cruising available upstream. The Columbia River is the largest river on the West Coast of the Americas. Lewiston, Idaho, 420 NM to the east, is the most inland port.
All that is lacking is local knowledge.
We are pleased to announce a webinar on cruising the Columbia and Snake Rivers, sponsored by the Seven Seas Cruising Association (SSCA), the yacht club for world cruisers. Presenters will be Douglas Cochrane, a multi-Nordhavn explorer, and Jerry Ostermiller, historian, marine archeologist, developer of the Columbia River Maritime Museum in Astoria, and foremost expert on the Columbia River.
This one hour presentation will provide you with the basics needed to make an informed decision about cruising this fascinating area. Ancillary materials will provide support for those who take the challenge.
Don’t miss this opportunity to learn more about the grand adventure of river cruising!
