Questions, Discussions and Opinions about Types of Boats/Suitability for Cruising
I have an Endeavour 40 that i am planning on crossing With the Europe ARC 2018. Has anyone sailed or seen an Endeavor 40 sail across the North Atlantic? I have raced the boat in the Chicago to Mackinaw race and she sails great and was quite quick. I have sailed across the Atlantic on a Morgan 43 and the Endeavour seems to be in the same class. Any advice or comments would be greatly appreciated.

People have sailed across the Atlantic in tiny boats, I think the smallest is less than 2 meters. Its all a matter of how much discomfort you are willing to endure, and how much time you have. I am sure that the Endeavor would be a fine boat for this crossing.

Have never sailed an Endeavor 40, so I can't really remark if the boat will suit your needs in an Atlantic crossing. Have found this website to be very helpful with good info. on many different boats to comparative/contrast their various performance characteristics.http://sailplan.ie/apps/boat-data-resul ... r+40+Sloop
