I have a Nordic Tug 39. It isn’t a trawler it has a semi-displacement hull. It cruises comfortably at 8 kts and uses 2.8 g/hr with a Cummins 380 hp

our 36' manatee by krogen uses 1.4 gal @ 7knots . i am older now and the days of sailing big catamarans are over but it uses the same fuel 100hp vs 2 50hp that the cat had. no matter where we went the wind was on the nose without fail. wife likes staying in marinas these days. this fat ugly trawler is extremely comfy. happy to have her.
