Rich Boren

Back in 2004 while working at his corporate “American Dream” job of 65 hour work weeks and 165 nights per year sleeping in hotel rooms around the country, Rich and his wife Lori hatched their escape plan. The suit and tie was going to be ditched for swim trunks, T-shirts and Crocs and in 2008 they headed south with the Baja Ha-ha cruisers rally to Mexico.

Being happily unplugged from what Rich calls the “chaos of life ashore”, they continue to live aboard on a mooring in Morro Bay, California as his kids attend high school.

As a Seven Seas Cruising Association Commodore and Board member, Rich enjoys helping others follow their cruising dreams and is an enthusiastic supporter of the Cruising and living aboard lifestyle. Taking service and sales calls from the desk aboard their Hudson Force 50 Ketch, SV THRID DAY, Rich runs Cruise RO Water selling water makers, refrigeration systems and cruising gear to fellow cruisers.
