“Navigating the ICW with Aqua Maps”
Long time Senior System Engineer, Luis Soltero, has taken the next step with communication tool sets in conjunction with highly enhanced Inter coastal Waterway(ICW) marine charts. By using the updated Aqua Map application/charts, created from additions to National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration marine charts, he is now navigating ICW channels with high precision. He will also discuss Bob423 tracks, Predict Wind route planning, and Offshore vs. Inshore routes. The Aqua Map electronic charts are provided with a data integration with NOAA charts, US Army ACES survey data and other US government provided materials. Aqua Map has also started a collaboration with NOAA to provide user depth data directly to NOAA as a public service. The Aqua Map corrections to the NOAA nautical charts for the ICW offer the best approach for consistent and more detailed data for cruisers. Aqua Map continues to provide cruisers solutions to the always changing ICW depths.
